Saint-Tropez
Stéphane and Victoria would be delighted to share their knowledge of the village with you: the history, the artists, the movies that were made in the area, the famous peoples’ villas, the yachts, which famous people are visiting, local events and much more.
Saint-Tropez has an exceptional history and culture, a rich maritime identity and plenty of myths about its name and origins.
At the end of 19th century the old port was already a prime location for many artists: Paul Signac, Picabia, Matisse and Bonnard, to name but a few. Then Brigitte Bardot took up residence and put Saint-Tropez on the map. Film stars, artists and singers flocked to the village to soak up the sun and party, Saint-Tropez became the place to be and the place to be seen in. It still draws in the crowds during the summer months and in winter it becomes the quaint, sleepy little fishing village once again that the locals love and appreciate.
